Role:

As Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and smooth operation of the 200 Aldersgate site, a flagship location requiring the highest standards of professionalism and customer service. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the Security Manager and leading the security team to uphold the client’s and tenants’ safety expectations and reputational standards.

You will assist with day-to-day security operations, ensuring adherence to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). In the Security Manager’s absence, you may be required to step up and assume management responsibilities. A customer-first mindset, operational efficiency, and teamwork across service providers are essential in delivering a consistently high-quality experience for all building occupants and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent customer service to staff, tenants, and visitors, maintaining a secure yet welcoming environment.
  • Act as an ambassador for the client and tenants by promoting a positive and professional image at all times.
  • Collaborate closely with cleaning, catering, maintenance, and front-of-house teams to ensure a cohesive “one team” service.
  • Supervise security personnel, ensuring duties are appropriately allocated and staff are deployed efficiently.
  • Support the Security Manager in enforcing Assignment Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, and site policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records including logs, key audits, equipment status reports, fire alarm tests, and card access records.
  • Ensure the correct and professional use of CCTV and access control systems. Produce reports as required.
  • Review and guide security officers’ performance and training, ensuring alignment with client and company standards.
  • Handle staff welfare issues, contribute to performance management, and assist with return-to-work interviews or disciplinary concerns.
  • Participate in site handovers and ensure thorough communication of relevant information.
  • Promote health and safety compliance and protect confidential information at all times.
  • Assist in induction and training of new team members to ensure service continuity and high standards.
  • Act as fire marshal or first aider if required; training will be provided.
  • Respond calmly and professionally to incidents and emergencies, taking ownership and demonstrating leadership.
  • Contribute to internal and external audits and inspections from regulatory bodies such as the SIA or client representatives.

  • Holder of a valid SIA license (Door Supervisor minimum).
