Role
We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated Front of House Security Operative, to work at one of our prestigious 5-star hotel environments in the city.
Supporting the clients in house team, to ensure the entire operation on site is maintained without compromise. Always upholding the reputation and integrity of both Unitrust and the client. To work as a member of the security team for the protection of persons and property and thereby the provision of a safe and secure environment.
Duties
- The maintenance of good order on site including the protection of everyone therein against violent acts, abuse, and accident.
- The protection of a client’s property against loss, theft, damage (including fire and water) and waste.
- Ensure basic fire precautions are in place and means of escape are clear. Carrying out nightly fire inspection patrol using patrol system.
- Carryout out monthly checks and replenishment of first aid boxes
- CCTV monitoring.
- Access control for all premises, patrolling and general security duties.
- VIP HNW guests and entourage arrival & departure protocols. Liaison with client security details as required.
- Complete a end of shift report using the client’s template. Reporting on Patrols completed and findings, H&S issues, Fire Safety, Security Incidents or concerns, Car details parked on site in the small private car park. Maintenance aspects noted during the tour of duty.
- To record and report all incidents and accurately.
- To keep security records and logs up to date.
Responding to
- All incidents and emergencies
- Assisting with special visits as required
- To comply with applicable environmental, health and safety rules, procedures, laws and accepted safe work practices.
- You will have a duty to take care of your own health, safety, and that of others who may be affected by your actions at work.
- Carrying out in a professional and diligent manner all other duties properly assignable to the position of a professional security operative.
- Visible presence in the reception lobby during peak and other busy times
Qualifications
- A background in Military or Police is desirable
- Capable or using all security equipment necessary to efficiently perform the duties required of a professional Security Operative.
Training
- Officers must undergo 2 nightshift onsite training.
- Complete the IHASCO range of on-line training courses, within the time frames required.
Post holder must be able to demonstrate
- Excellent literacy and communication skills and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Possess an excellent telephone manner
- Must be computer literate, with the full range of Microsoft office suite applications
- Report writing skills

- A consistently smart appearance in the uniform provided and required by Unitrust
- Reliability, self-motivation, and ability to use own initiative and work without supervision
- The ability, tact and diplomacy to deal with people including the client, the client’s staff and visitors, in all circumstances including emergencies and other times of stress. Self-confidence and an interest in self-development
- A level of physical fitness to enable the post holder to perform patrol and emergency response duties efficiently and effectively
Other
- Experience working with High-Net-Worth clients.
- Willingness to provide cover for other team members for holidays, sickness and short notice absences / cover requirements.
- The nature of the role is such that it is essential that the post holder has and will maintain an excellent record of attendance and timekeeping. Assist with any Investigations of thefts, complaints and incidents as required
