Job Title: Security Supervisor  

Rate: £15.76 per hour 

Contracted Hours: Working 3 Days, 3 Nights, 3 Rest

Responsibilities:

  •  Provide support to the Deputy Security Manager and Security Manager and cover for the Deputy Security Manager and Security Manager when they are not available.
  • Conduct interviews for new staff members.
  • Complete appraisals, probation reviews, and other HR-related documentation.
  • Complete gap analysis reviews on all the team to ensure all have the same level of knowledge.
  • Be highly presentable, accountable; take responsibility and ownership for any tasks identified  or allocated
  •   Ensure all contact, be it internal or external; by telephone, face to face or any other medium; is clear,courteous, polite, professional and respectful
  • nsure complete client/tenant/other service provider confidentiality; protecting people and information is paramount
  •  Where applicable: appropriate use of CCTV/access control and any other electronic management system, and completion of reports and documentation in a timely fashion
  •  Be familiar with all Security and Emergency procedures on site and assist in the facilitation of their safe execution and practice. There may also be a need to become a fire marshal and first aider if applicableall training will be provided
  •  All Assignment Instructions / Operations Manual or Standard Operating Procedures are to be reviewed, understood and followed
  • Embrace and deliver the bespoke training requirements, specific to contractual obligation or regulation
  •  Completion of rostered duties and all associated tasks or responsibilities to the highest possible standard
  •  Ensure that all Health and Safety and Environmental procedures are followed and do not undertake any activity which could breach the SIA or other relevant regulations
  • To complete any other reasonable task as instructed by your line manager or other Senior Manager, either UniTrust or at the request of the Client and/or tenants
  •  To support internal and external audit processes from UniTrust Security representatives, Client/Tenant
  • Representatives, the SIA, any other relevant body with a relevant interest and valid reason for inspection or compliance checks
  •  To act with integrity and in the best interests of the company in a safe, compliant, and ethical manner
  •  To be resilient to working in the most sensitive environments, always dealing with any conflict with a respectful and empathic approach
  •  Be prepared to manage a wide variety and diversity of scenarios, people, and challenges
  • Assist in the induction, development, or ongoing training of new team members across the disciplines where appropriate
  • Act in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures and our Code of Conduct

Essential Skills:

  • Previous Supervisory experience desired
  • SIA Security Guarding, Door Supervisor or Close Protection licence
  • Excellent oral, written communication skills, interpersonal skills and confidence
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  •  Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual
  •  Resilient and calm under pressure with the ability to multi-task and prioritise to help solve problems and overcome challenges
  •  Self-confidence and an interest in self-development.
  •  Physically able to conduct all responsibilities associated with the roles documented
  • Ability to work to instruction and on your own initiative where required
  • Computer literate and confident with the use of Microsoft Office programmes
  •  Demonstrate an awareness of security threats which remain relevant and up to date in the context of the current environment
  •  Flexibility regarding working practices, hours and responsibilities.
  •  Either a current and valid SIA (DS as a minimum) license
  • Enhanced communication, listening and customer service skills or the ability to train, obtain, retain, and develop further in this field.
  •  First Aid at work or the ability to train and retain this qualification
  •  Operation of CCTV/access control communications in an appropriate manner
