The site spans 260,00 sq. f t, it is a redeveloping and mixed - use estate and is situated in the heart of King’s Cross. Specif ically, it is located to the east of King’s Cross Station, and is comprised of 12 of f ice buildings, alongside 20 retail and leisure units.This position is envisaged to start f rom early May 2026

Key Information:
Job Title – Duty Security Manager
Pay: £16.00 per hour. (Annual equivalent £46,720)
Hours – Approx avg. 56 hours per week,
12-hour shif t with a pattern of 3 days, 3 nights, 3 rest
Start Times: 07:00 Days & 19:00 Nights
ROLE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the management of the security contract at the client’s premises.
- Assist the site lead with all procedures
- Ensure Assignment Instructions are always adhered to.
- Ensure that all Unitrust personnel f ollow the correct dress code.
- Develop relationships onsite with tenants, suppliers & contractors
- To comply with company health and saf ety procedures.
Duties
- Ensuring the protection of persons and property.
- Oversee the provision of a saf e and secure environment.
- To record and report all incidents & accidents
- To keep security records and logs up to date.
- Admin duties to include assistance with compliance documentation
- To act as incident controller
- To monitor and train staf f
- To deal with staf f and visitors enquiries and requests.
- Initialise call out procedures in the event of a crisis arising.
- To comply with applicable environmental, health and saf ety policies,
- Unitrust Staf f appraisals, welf are meetings & probations
- Unitrust Staf f perf ormance management where required
- Administration of onsite patrol system.
- Team mentoring, training & development
- Early identif ication and mitigation of any threats
- ave an outstanding knowledge of the premises
- Record details of any suspected criminal activity on the premises
- Manage the local environment and visitors
- Liaise with all relevant external departments where applicable
Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding customer service to staf f and visitors.
- Take an active interest in, and give commitment to the client
- Ensure that the environment and service is truly excellent and beyond expectation
- Be f lexible and adaptable to all tasks or challenges
- Be highly presentable, accountable; take responsibility and ownership f or any tasks identified or allocated
- Ensure all contact, internal or external; courteous, polite, prof essional, and respectf ul
- Ensure complete client/tenant/other service provider conf identiality.
- Appropriate use of CCTV/access control and any other electronic management system
- Lead with all Security and Emergency procedures on site
- All Assignment Instructions and Risk Assessments are to be reviewed and maintained
- Embrace and deliver the bespoke training requirements
- Completion of rostered duties and all associated tasks
- To complete any other reasonable tasks as instructed by your line manager, the Site Manager or other Senior Manager, either UniTrust or at the request of the Client and/or tenants .
- To be resilient to working in the most sensitive environments, always dealing with any conf lictwith a respectf ul and empathic approach
Essential Skills:
- A 5 year -work experience in the security industry and/or within the hospitality sectors is desirable.
- Minimum 2 years in a similar role is essential
- Interpersonal skills and conf idence are a must
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual
- Resilient and calm under pressure with the ability to multi-task
- Self -conf idence and an interest in self -development.
- Ability to work to instruction and on your own initiative where required
- Computer literate and conf ident with the use of Microsof t Of f ice programmes

- Enhanced communication, listening and customer service skills
